The Scottish American Society of Citrus County welcomes all who are interested in the traditions and heritages of the Scots. The Society is not a non profit organization. It is simply a place to meet and share your information and knowledge of the Scottish ways. I am trying to initiate an interest in this area of the state because the simple fact is that I truely enjoy it. I love the sound of bagpipes and the flash of Tartan and I would like to pass this love on to as many people as I can. Another purpose of this website is to promote the idea of Highland Games for this area. I am also very intersted in starting a pipe and drum corps in one of the local schools.
A WEE BIT O PERSONAL INFORMATION
If your interested in a really good Highland Games go here...Dunedin!
Allow me to introduce myself... My name is Frank Deans. I am a nurse by profession and an aspiring
bagpiper. I took an interest in my heritage and came to find that somewhere back there, in the mists of time, is a hint of Scottish heritage. I was interested
by this. I looked a bit further and found the origins of my family name. It is a Sept of the Davidson Clan, I am also associated with the
Campbell Clan by marriage. So as you can see I have a bit to work with. Even if you have no scottish in you at all and simply love kilts, pipes
and the like, I bid you a fond and heartfelt WELCOME!! I hope to get to know you and trade ideas and information.
